Choose an existing member, select Paths for them to join, and instantly enroll them in the Paths, no invites required.

For administrators

Your existing members can start the course paths assigned to them as soon as they arrive at their Home screen. They won't need to wade through a bunch of email invites for every Path or click any accept links. Simply assign a Path to them and they will have instant access to start learning.

The current version allows admins to assign existing Cohort Paths to existing members when no payment is required, but we plan to expand the functionality in the future. Stay tuned for more...

How to "add to Path"

1. From Community

  1. Open "Community" from the main menu or Dashboard. 

  2. Look up any member, and click on the settings icon next to his or her name. 

  3. Select "Add to path." 

  4. Next, choose the appropriate member role, Path(s), and the specific Cohort you want the member to join (if there are multiple cohorts). Optionally add a personal message. 

  5. Finally, select "Add to {first_name}'s path" and the member will be instantly enrolled in the Path(s) you selected.

The member will be notified in-app and by email and will see the Paths on their home page next time they log in.

2. From your Home > People page

If you are an admin, you can also access "Add to Path" from your Home page under the People tab.

  1. Open "Home" from the main menu or your Dashboard, and switch to the "People" tab. You can use either the "Active" or "Groups" tab here.

  2. Click or tap on any person's profile picture to open their profile card.

  3. Select the "Add to path" button on their profile card.

  4. Next, choose the appropriate member role, Path(s), and the specific Cohort you want the member to join (if there are multiple cohorts). Optionally add a personal message.

  5. Finally, select "Add to {first_name}'s path" and the member will be instantly enrolled in the Path(s) you selected.

The member will be notified in-app and by email and will see the Paths on their home page next time they log in.

FAQs

Q. What should I do if I get the message "No cohort available"?

A. If you select a Path, and see the message "No cohort available," you'll need to go and create a cohort first. Here's how to create a cohort.

Q. How do I know if "Add to Path" was successful?

A. You'll receive a confirmation message. If there are any errors (for example, if the member was already enrolled in the Path you selected, you'll see a notification with those details). 

You'll see the Paths on the member's profile card, and you can see the enrollments listed under their activity tab.  

Q. Can I use Add to Path when payment is required?

A. Add to Path will never charge the individual for the enrollment. You can still use Add to Path to add someone to a cohort with a price set on it, but they will be added for free.

Q. Can I use Add to Path to add new members?

A. Add to Path only works with existing members at this time.

Q. Why isn't Add to Path working?

A. Here are a few reasons why you may not be able to use Add to Path:

  1. You're trying to add someone to a cohort that is priced as "subscription only." First have the individual subscribe (you can provide a discount code for a free period if needed). Then they can enroll or you can use Add to Path to enroll them.

  2. You're trying to add a learner to a Path that is part of a Collection. Learners should be added to the Collection cohort. Once enrolled in the Collection, they simply click into any Path inside the Collection. We've disabled learner invites and Add to Path for Paths inside Collections.
