How do I rename a course Path?

Rename a course or cohort to change the titles that appear at the top of the Path and in your Library.

Each course Path can have one or more Cohorts. For example, if Creative Writing 101 is your Path name, the three Cohorts might be named Spring Semester, Fall Semester, and Summer Session.

Edit the course Path name

Open the "Path Settings" on any existing course Path. You'll find these under a gear icon on the Path cover in the Library.

If you're viewing the Cohort Path, you can open the additional actions menu and select "Configure Path" to open the Path Settings. If viewing the Source Path, you'll see a gear icon that goes directly to the Path Settings instead. With the Path Settings open, navigate to "Update About Page" where you will see the “Title” field at the top:

Edit or enter your new Path name here. Save your changes and exit Path Settings.

💡Tip: Your Path slug (URL) will now update automatically to match the new Path name. You may not see the change until after refreshing the browser or navigating back to the Path. Old URLs will redirect automatically.

Edit the name of a particular Cohort taking the course Path

  1. Open your Cohort and select the three dots (...) at the top of the course Path directly under the name of the course. This will open a menu with additional options.

  2. Select "Configure Cohort" from the menu.

You will see the “Cohort Name” field at the top. Edit the Cohort name here. Save your changes and exit.

💡Tip: Your first Cohort will automatically have the same name as the course Path, but if you offer multiple Cohorts, you will want to name each Cohort uniquely so you, your staff, and learners know when you are in the correct Cohort.
